The smoking fisherman
“Tell him”, the colonel said, smiling, “that a person doesn’t die when he should but when he can.” ~ Happy birthday G.G. Marquez
Sometimes, when someone or something gives me too much emotion, I get overwhelmed and cannot turn those feelings into a photograph. The experience itself shakes me to the core and the photos I take look ridiculously weak to me. This was one of those situations. I was passing in front of that house, looking at somewhere else and suddenly I saw her, sitting inside, silently. Then somehow we started to talk and at the end of the conversation she gave me an orange and an apple. (and an advice which I’d like to keep to myself) In the house, there were flowers in a vase and a photo of her on the wall which was taken when she was very young and very beautiful. So many details… Sadly, this single shot will not give you all those details and feelings I had there. Hopefully next time. (at Meryem’s House)

Fötr şapkası her daim bir şeyin tersi,
Yürüdüğü bildiği yolu sakin ve kendinden emin
İç cebinde tutkulu replikler, kanayan şiirler ve monologlar…

“To live is to be someone else. To feel today the same thing we felt yesterday is not to feel at all-since today we are the living cadaver of yesterday’s lost life.” F. P.
He asked me which song I wanted to listen; as a person who can emphatize with all the musicians in the world I said, “The one you like to play the most”. And he played “Bir Teselli Ver”. Then he took a picture out of his pocket, his and his mother’s, and it turned into a gloomy moment because he was talking about how quickly the time was passing and how old he felt himself. I told him that he doesn’t look old at all but I was definitely insufficient in consoling him about his mother. But all of a sudden a suprising thing happened: another Instagramer appeared and I met @eros_sana right in the entrance of the subway. Then the clarinetist started to play another tune. He’s very talented. If you see him, I recommend you to listen to him. #abey
